Not all therapy is easy.........Who is Dr Fran?
Dr Fran Brinn (DClinPsych) is a Registered Clinical Psychologist in Christchurch, New Zealand.

She received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Wales, Cardiff in 2000.

She continues to prioritize professional development, with training in EMDR, Compassion Focused Therapy, Graded Motor Imagery and Cognitive Analytic Therapy.

She has been working in private practice since 2005, undertaking work for ACC, EAP programs and the local Public Mental Health Initiative in addition to a private caseload.

She is the first to admit that her approach may not suit everyone.

"I'm a strong believer that therapy is hard work for client and therapist, and if you leave feeling like you've had a 'nice cup of tea with Aunty Fran' then that isn't therapy. Be prepared for homework, be prepared for challenge, and be prepared for me to work just as hard to push you to gain skills to self-manage."

"I will work with you to improve your life."

See my Services and  Links pages for details of associations and more on some of the therapies/techniques I employ.
